FAQ - Bat Rescue Inc Instagram Account Stats
Here are some of the frequently asked questions about Bat Rescue Inc's Instagram account.
- Some of yesterdays newest crèche additions! 🦇💖 From late January our hand-reared orphans between 14-16 weeks of age are gathered into a large creche aviary to socialize, practice their flying skills and begin the process of de-humanizing. After several weeks, they are transferred to a release aviary near a wild colony. The orphans receive support feeding until they eventually join the colony and become independent. The release process takes place during the months of March/April. Orphan season starts again in late September. If you want to support us and what we do, the link in our bio will take you to our donation page. Donations help us with costs such as milk formula, high protein supplements, fruit, and medications. Reminder: Please do not pick up or handle wild bats. Our carers are trained and vaccinated.
- Meet Shine, a black male flying fox orphan who came into our care after a ground rescue. He was just 15 days old when he was found, likely dropped by his mother during the night. Born around February 3rd of this year, Shine is a unique out-of-season baby. Despite some initial challenges with his wing joints, he’s progressing well and is already showing signs of mischief. A true treasure indeed. If you’d like to help our carers care for Shine, he will be available for adoption on our website. ❤️🦇
